How to Choose a Telegram Ads Reseller — Criteria and terms compared

A Telegram Ads reseller is an official Telegram partner that opens a euro ad account for an advertiser, accepts payment in local currency and charges a fee for it. Choose a reseller by five criteria: minimum budget, fee for your topic, conversion rate, payment methods and paperwork, including ad labeling.

Why you need a reseller

A direct Telegram Ads euro account originally required a deposit of about €2 million. Resellers — agencies and platforms with their own large accounts — give smaller advertisers access. In return they charge a fee, accept convenient payment methods and issue accounting documents.

What a euro account through a reseller gives you compared with TON and Stars:

  • you can send traffic to an external website;
  • user targeting is available: topics, channel subscribers, countries, language, devices;
  • payment under a contract, with VAT and closing documents.

5 criteria for choosing a reseller

  1. Minimum budget. How much you need for the first and subsequent top-ups — from €0 to €500 depending on the company.
  2. Fee for your topic. Usually 15–20% for most niches, 25% for education and up to 30% for crypto. Ask for the exact rate for your niche in advance.
  3. Conversion rate. Central bank rate, central bank rate plus a markup, or a fixed internal rate — the difference adds up on large budgets.
  4. Payment methods and documents. Bank transfer, card, crypto, post-payment; invoices and acts.
  5. Labeling and service. Whether the reseller reports to the ad data operator, helps with moderation and setup, and how fast support responds.

How to calculate the real cost

Compare how much local currency you need to pay so that €1 goes to ads. Formula: (1 + fee + fee × VAT rate) × reseller’s rate.

Example with a central bank rate of 100 rubles per euro and 22% VAT:

  • 15% fee, rate +3 rubles: (1 + 0.15 + 0.033) × 103 ≈ 121.8 rubles per €1 of ads;
  • 20% fee, no markup: (1 + 0.2 + 0.044) × 100 = 124.4 rubles per €1 of ads.

Questions to ask a reseller’s manager

  • What is the fee for my topic and does it depend on volume?
  • Which rate is used for top-ups and when is it fixed?
  • Who registers creatives with the ad data operator and reports them?
  • Can unused funds be refunded and on what terms?
  • How long does it take to open an account, and do you help with moderation?

When you don’t need a reseller

If you promote your own Telegram channel or bot and channel targeting is enough, a TON or Stars account will do. In a Stars account Telegram credits 30% more than the Stars cost, but you can only promote the channel or bot that earned them. See paying in euros, TON and Stars.

FAQ

What is a Telegram Ads reseller?

An official Telegram partner that gives advertisers access to a euro ad account without a large deposit. The reseller accepts payment, issues documents and charges a fee.

Which Telegram Ads reseller is the cheapest?

There is no universal answer: the final price depends on the fee for your topic, the conversion rate and volume. Calculate how much €1 of ad spend costs with each candidate.

Can you switch resellers?

Yes. You usually open an account with the new reseller and recreate your ads manually. Check refund terms for the remaining balance in the old contract.

Does a reseller help with ad labeling?

Many resellers register creatives and send reports automatically, but not all. Confirm this before signing.

Do you need a reseller to promote a channel?

Not necessarily. TON and Stars accounts work for your own channel or bot, but targeting is limited and websites can’t be promoted.
